Food For The Soul

After some major life events in Marie Foster's life, she decides to give people a place they could come to and seek help in their time of need. She found that her community in Raleigh, NC needed a place to feed people that wouldn't be able to eat any other way and those that just needed a simple home-cooked meal. Marie soon realized that people need more than food, they need love and safety more than any soup kitchen she had ever heard of. Marie was on a mission to provide the things that her community needed and it showed. The community quickly saw what she was doing and named her place "Food For The Soul", a place where the forgotten were treated like royalty. Since there was great need for what she was doing, and she was working mainly alone with a few people helping here and there, her time spent at Food for the Soul increased on any giving day.
Taking time from her three kids and her husband was the biggest regret of her life, because shortly after two years of Marie's opening, her husband got a new job out of state and forced her to make a choice. She chose to stay and finish what she started. He divorced her and took her kids and never looked back.

You have picked a good day to visit Food for the Soul, because, after 30 years, Food For the Soul will feel the loss of Mrs. Foster. Everyone wanted to come and pay their respects for a woman that has worked so hard for community that she lived in. Things get kind of crazy when the youngest daughter invites her siblings to the event without them knowing. In this interactive Dinner Theater you will enjoy the sounds, smells and smiles that Food For The Soul will have on you
